Bournemouth Christmas Market Latest News

Sponsorship Opportunities for the Bournemouth Christmas Market

We invite you to consider sponsorship of the 2011 Bournemouth Christmas Market, a successful festive event that will take place in the Town Square from 17 November 2011 until 3 January 2012.

Please ask us for our Sponsorship Proposal document which explains what the 2011 Bournemouth Christmas Market is about, and shows how you can get involved. You can align your name with individual elements of the entire Market, and benefit from the positive image the community event projects and the huge exposure to around 200,000 visitors.

Involvement can be anything from having your company name or advertising promotion displayed on signage, to sponsoring the stage shows or community events, such as the Christmas Lights Switch On. On a larger scalem you can have exclusive naming rights to the whole event. There is a suitably priced package available for most budgets. All revenues from the sponsorship will be used to maintain the high standards of the attractions at the Market this year and in future years.

Please review the information we have provided and contact us if you wish to get involved.

Trade Vacancies

We still have limited availability for Traders at the Christmas Market  and a vacancy for a Company to run a Pick and Mix Sweet Stall. Please contact us for further details.

Voice of Reason

Renowned for their pure energy, high-standard musicianship and sense of humour, VOR began life four years ago and have enjoyed growing their loyal fan-base ever since; boasting two iTunes releases and with two line-up, three style and maybe four underwear changes along the way.

Looking after all of their own production, management, distribution and merchandising (Adam also runs Plastic Parrot label/studio) has proven them a very dedicated, ambitious, enthusiastic and hard-working bunch. The band's guitar work comes courtesy of a Smiths, R.E.M. and Black Label Society-influenced Dale, with Adam's lyrical, melody and structural carvings inspired by the likes of Idlewild, Pulp, Nightmare Of You, Relient K, Daft Punk, Justice, Mr Oizo, Týr, Mike Oldfield and everyone else in between.  Jamie and Matt are very much hard-rock/metal based with elements of Enter Shikari, Fightstar, Avenged Sevenfold, Pure Reason Revolution, Zebrahead and Bowling For Soup pounding throughout the band's rhythm section.

Hard at work on their fourth EP together, the guys will be releasing a fresh batch of recordings in between their flurry of live shows.

Adam S

Armed with only his piano; producer, DJ and Voice Of Reason frontman Adam brings his solo pop project to fruition, blending elements of Scouting For Girls with Ed Sheeran and Idlewild-esque melodies.

RAZOR

In ‘Reinventing’, grime/Hip Hop artist Razor delivers the follow up to his 2010 mixtape ‘Venting’. Developing sonically and conceptually from his earlier material, ‘Reinventing’ sees Razor dominating new soundscapes in addition to his Grime background; from Dubstep to Rock to straight up Hip-Hop, assisted by artists like Example and Foz Tee. ‘Reinventing’ comes after a year of extensive promotion from Razor, who spent 2010 performing, networking and distributing tirelessly to the point of getting featured in UKB and Kix magazine and performing at events alongside don strapzy (dru blu) Dotstar,Gfrsh and many more.

North-West London artist Razor has networked tirelessly and raised his profile with features in UKB magazine and Kicks magazine, as well as having the video for his song ‘Sci-Fi’ included on Channel AKA’s ‘Hoodtube’ request programme.

DARREN HODSON

Darren Hodson is a guitarist, singer and songwriter based in Hampshire, UK.  In the last few years he has performed at venues all over the country from local bars, pubs & clubs to the ACC in Liverpool and the 02 Arena in London, he has shared stages with Bon Jovi, Robbie McIntosh, Scott Mckeon, Devon Allman and recently opened for Status Quo at "Rockin the dock" on the IOW

Darren performs live with a raw and honest quality that has endeared him to audiences for nearly 20 years.

Whether he is performing with a full band or a playing solo acoustic show his passion for music is obvious.

Much more than just a guitar player, he has a natural talent for harmony and melody that brings his original material to life.

Painfully modest and reluctant to promote his own songs, it has taken nearly 8 years and a lot of nagging from friends and colleagues to finally get his debut album out there.

Darren Hodson & The Southern Companion - "Short Stories & Tall Tales" is a collection of heartfelt, honest songs ranging from Folk tinged Country ballards to full on Blues/Rock belters. Every track tells it's own story, 90% of which is true..

Come along and see Darren live and maybe buy a CD in person.
